Aurora Metro was shortlisted for the Independent Publisher Guild’s Diversity in publishing awards 2019 and for the Music and Drama awards – Outstanding Drama Resource Category 2019. Publisher Cheryl Robson was also shortlisted for the itv National Diversity Awards – Lifetime Achievement category 2019.

Previously, we have been awarded the Pandora award from Women-in-publishing, the Arts Council’s Raymond Williams Publishing Prize, Gourmand World Cookbook prizes for Best Seasonal Cookbook UK, Best Innovative Food book UK and a Special Jury Prize for Peace awarded by the King of Sweden.

Our authors and titles have won several high-profile awards, and have been shortlisted for many more including:

2 PEN TRANSLATE AWARDS for The Town with Acacia Trees by Jewish-Romanian author Mihail Sebastian translated by Gabi Reigh (2019) and Erik and the Gods by Danish Children’s author Lars-Henrik Olsen translated by Paul Russell Garrett (2017).

We have been awarded 4 Blue Star reviews from Kirkus Reviews, most recently for The Town with Acacia Trees. Our author Kate Dunn was also voted Best Indie Book 2017 for The Dragonfly and our titles Liberty Bazaar by David Chadwick and The River’s Song by Suchen Christine Lim, were named among Kirkus Reviews’ Best Books of 2015 (Indie Category).
