A tribute to Giorgio Gomelsky – the man behind British R n B
30 April @ 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm
£10
Tickets here.
The Rolling Stones, the Yardbirds and many other legendary British rhythm and blues artistes kicked-off their musical careers at The Crawdaddy Club in Richmond – a music venue set up by the late Giorgio Gomelsky, music producer and impresario, who died in New York in 2016. On Sunday 30th April, we’ll be celebrating his life and legacy at the very same location, now One Kew Road Bar & Restaurant, with live music and memories from those that knew Giorgio personally.
And we’ll be launching a new book entitled GIORGIO GOMELSKY ‘FOR YOUR LOVE’, the first biography about the man, written by close friend Francis Dumaurier, who will be present to sign your copy. In addition to the book, published by local Richmond publisher Aurora Metro, there will be exclusive pre-release recordings of Giorgio Gomelsky’s celebrated work featuring legendary artistes, for sale on the night from Charly Records.
