Silly Beggar: the world’s stupidest begging letters
by James Spence
Takes the art of acquiring the freebie to a whole new level of absurdity. Rejoice as the customer service departments of multinational corporations are fed ridiculous stories to make them part with T-shirts or other logo-bearing freebies. Whether he’s playing the system or just playing games, James Spence demonstrates his comic genius via his uniquely entertaining emails.
‘The author has clearly spent years plaguing companies with his idiotic requests for freebies, could this be where the global meltdown started?’
– Paul Foot, Life President, Guild of Paul Foot Connoisseurs
‘a very amusing illustration of the lengths people will go to earn a buck’
– Nigel Williams, best-selling author, The Wimbledon Poisoner
