Alice Dearing is a 24-year-old swimmer from Birmingham, UK, who made her Olympic
debut at the Tokyo 2020 Games, competing in the 10km marathon swimming event.
She started competitive swimming aged 8, and steadily progressed through the county,
regional and national stages before swimming at her first international competition
when she was 16, at European Juniors for the 400, 800 and 1500m freestyle. In the
same year she attempted open water swimming for the first time and became European
Junior champion in the 5km race.
