Anuradha Patel, known as Anu, was born in Gujarat, India. At a very early age she moved to Uganda, East Africa and then moved to England in 1972. She studied Fine Art at Lanchester Polytechnic in the early 80s and spent time living in Australia from 2007 where she has established a practice in public art and studio-based work. Her many public commissions include: Birmingham New Street Station, Tree Sculpture for forecourt commissioned by Network Rail, Reservoir Northern Gateway, public art project, Melbourne, Australia, Light In Winter City of Melbourne, Federation Square, Hobson’s Bay Public Art Trail, Indian Summer, Tooting, London, Decorative Seat commissioned by Channel 4, Art Work for Burleys Flyover, Belgrave Road, Leicester, Vahana Sculpture, Transition Of Riches Exhibition.
