Kate Waters

Kate Waters (aka Kombat Kate) is an Equity-registered Fight Director, a status she acquired in 2001, after gaining qualifications in fencing and martial arts. Since then she has worked across the UK, in the West End, at the Royal National Theatre, the Royal Opera House, the RSC and “across the pond” in New York and San Diego, putting many actors through their paces in fights ranging from a swordfight to a punch up. It was at Middlesex University where she was studying for a BA in Acting, that she discovered stage combat. She later trained with fight director Jonathan Howell, who taught stage combat at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
