Liz Nicholl CBE (1952-) is the former Chief Executive of UK Sport, and current President of World Netball. Nicholl was born in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, the sixth of seven children. Her father was a schoolteacher who coached his school’s sports teams. She played netball as a centre and wing attack, and represented Wales in international netball competitions including two World Championships with 22 caps between 1975 and 1979.
