Marianne Reim was born and raised in Germany and migrated to Canada when she
was 22. She attained a B.A. Degree in Art and Art History at McMaster University in
Hamilton, and began to work as an artist and sculptor. She now lives in St. Catherine’s
in Ontario, Canada. Her work has been exhibited globally in nineteen countries across
six continents. The recipient of several grants and the winner of numerous awards, her
work can be found in private collections, in the government of Ontario Art Collection
Archives, and in the public collections of art galleries and sculpture parks all over the
world. Her travels in Africa, Tanzania and Namibia, interacting with Bushmen and the
Massai culture, led to an exhibition at the Nafasi Art Space in Tanzania, where she was
an Artist in Residence.
