Sean Burn's last full-length play Collector of Tears was toured nationally by Gobscure, chosen by the British Theatre Guide as North-East play of the year 2014 c.e., and published by Aurora Metro. Previous plays include Cutter for Half Moon Theatre (Time Outs Play Of The Year for young people), Voices - full length play for Pegasus Youth Theatre; Next Swan Down The River Might Be Black (also national tour by Gobscure & also published by Aurora Metro). They were Jessie Kesson literary fellow at Moniack Mhor (Scotlands Writing Centre in 2016) and recently received a RFL award for their writing. Fill yer gob first then speak for maximum effect is a touring spoken-word showmixing spoken word with live art, visual-poetry and creative resistances was supported by a Camden People's Theatre Bursary and ARC Stockton Residency and looks at how we are 'provoked to madness by the brutality of wealth' (Engels, Manchester, 1840's).
Sean was part of Graeae's first year of write to play developing disabled/deaf writers. As a result of this their company Gobscure are now artistic associates of tyneside-based Theatre Company Greyscale, their play Joey was published by Aurora Metro in June 2019 to coincide with tour.
