Sian Evans born and brought up in Bridgend, South Wales. Plays include: Insect Life (BBC Wales 1993), Underdog (WTW, Oval Theatre 1994), Dancing on the Turf (Radio 4 1994), Little Sister (Made in Wales Stage Co. 1996), Asleep under the Dark Earth (National Theatre 1997), Mary Kelly (Theatre Clwyd 1998).
Translations/adaptations include: Britannicus (Sheffield Crucible 1990), At Fifty She Discovered the Sea (Liverpool Playhouse 1992),Badenheim 1939 (Second Stride Theatre Co, Riverside Studios 1995) and Tiderace (BBC Wales 1996).
Television drama: Episodes of Peak Practice (Carlton 1997/8), Touching Evil (United 1998/9).
Awards - Arts Council Translation Award 1992 and Gulbenkian Award to develop work in film 1993.
